The famous test climb of the pros who live around Monaco – from the sea in Menton, under the motorway, past Sainte-Agnès – the perched village at 780 m said to be Europe's highest coastal village – through a tunnel in the limestone and up to the col. Easy out of town, then 7–8 % up to Sainte-Agnès, a gentler middle and a steep kick near the top.
