Regions
Dive deeper into the world's finest cycling regions.

Western Fjords
Norway
The Western Fjords region offers some of the most dramatic cycling terrain on earth. Narrow roads cling to cliff edges above impossibly blue water, while iconic passes like Trollstigen wind through cascading waterfalls.

Gudbrandsdalen
Norway
Gudbrandsdalen is one of Norway's longest and most historic valleys, stretching from Lillehammer to Dovrefjell. For cyclists, it serves as the gateway to some of the country's finest mountain roads — Rondane National Park, Jotunheimvegen and Valdresflye. The valley floor connects these epic routes, while the surrounding mountains offer extraordinary riding through Norway's first national park and into the heart of Jotunheimen.

Oslo & Oslofjord
Norway
Road cycling from Oslo — routes through Follo, Østfold and the Oslofjord landscape south of the capital.

Northern Norway
Norway
Cycling above the Arctic Circle — dramatic fjords, midnight sun and some of the most spectacular scenery on earth.

Mallorca
Spain
The island where the professionals train. The Tramuntana mountain range — a UNESCO World Heritage site — hides some of the finest cycling roads in the world. From the corkscrew hairpins of Sa Calobra to the lighthouse at Cap Formentor, Mallorca delivers an extraordinary variety of terrain in a compact, sun-drenched island setting.

French Riviera
France
Côte d'Azur hides some of cycling's most legendary climbs behind its glamorous facade. Within 30km of the Mediterranean, roads rise to 1,600m through hairpin-studded passes that have featured in the Tour de France and Paris-Nice for decades. Base yourself in Menton or Nice and ride in the footsteps of Pogačar, Richie Porte and Lance Armstrong. All routes are accessible from both Nice and Menton.

Costa Blanca
Spain
The Costa Blanca is one of Europe's finest cycling destinations, built around the mountain roads above Calpe and the iconic climbs of the Marina Alta. Coll de Rates, Cumbre del Sol and Vall d'Ebo have become benchmarks for road cyclists worldwide — tested by WorldTour professionals and training camps alike. With dry winters, smooth tarmac and an extraordinary concentration of categorised climbs within 50 kilometres of the coast, Costa Blanca offers world-class cycling from October through May.

Costa del Sol
Spain
Costa del Sol stretches along the southern Andalusian coast from Gibraltar to Málaga and beyond — one of Europe's most celebrated cycling destinations. The region pairs year-round sunshine and Mediterranean coastline with the dramatic mountain ranges of Sierra Bermeja and Sierra de las Nieves rising sharply from the sea. The contrast is the point: a single ride can take you from a harbour espresso to an alpine environment with views of two continents.

Italian Riviera — Liguria
Italy
The hills behind San Remo are among the finest cycling roads in Italy. Within 20 kilometres of the Mediterranean, the roads rise to over 1,100 metres through olive groves, terraced vineyards and medieval villages. The same climbs that shadow the Milano–San Remo Monument — the longest Classic in professional cycling — are here to explore year-round. Mild winters, smooth tarmac and an extraordinary concentration of climbing make this one of Europe's great road cycling destinations.

Vestfold
Norway
The Sunshine Coast of Norway — Vestfold stretches along the western shore of the Oslofjord, connecting the charming coastal towns of Sandefjord, Larvik and Stavern. Rolling countryside, maritime history and some of the best cycling roads in Eastern Norway.

Girona & Costa Brava
Spain
Girona is widely considered the cycling capital of the world. WorldTour professionals live and train in this walled medieval city in Catalonia, drawn by traffic-free farm roads, dry Mediterranean climate and climbs like Els Àngels and Rocacorba. The Costa Brava coast to the east and the Pyrenees to the north complete one of Europe's most versatile road and gravel destinations.

Oisans & Maurienne
France
The Oisans and Maurienne valleys hold the legendary climbs of the French Alps — Alpe d'Huez with its 21 hairpins, Col du Galibier at 2,645 metres, Col de la Croix de Fer and Col de la Madeleine. Tour de France history is decided on these roads. La Marmotte and L'Étape du Tour draw amateur cyclists from across the world every summer.

Tarentaise & Beaufortain
France
Tarentaise and Beaufortain offer the quieter side of the French Alps. The Cormet de Roselend, with its reservoir hairpins and 1,968-metre summit, and the savage Col du Pré above Beaufort are among the most dramatic climbs in the Alps. La Plagne, Les Saisies and the Little St Bernard round out a region with less Tour de France mythology but exceptional scenery.
