How we choose

We list a hotel because it holds up for a cyclist, not because it pays us. Every line in the tables below carries its own source, and we say which. Nothing here is a score: a single number would hide whether a fact came from the hotel in writing or from a marketing page.

A question mark means we have not been told — not that the hotel lacks it. A cross means the hotel told us it does not have it.

Hotel Condesa is on the beach at Playa de Alcúdia. Bikes go in a garage inside the building with capacity for 130 bikes, with priority given to Hürzeler guests, and the store has an electronic lock. Tools, repair stands and pumps are in the garage, locks can be borrowed against a deposit, and there is a separate wash spot with a tap just outside. Breakfast runs from 07:30 to 10:30; for an earlier start, order a cold breakfast at reception the evening before. There is nothing to take out on the ride, but a cold dinner outside restaurant hours can be arranged a day ahead. Laundry goes to an outside firm, with same-day express depending on the service. The hotel has no rental fleet of its own: Hürzeler is nearby, and Rose Bike is about 300 metres away, across the road. For riders doing the Mallorca 312 and the Long Course Weekend, the hotel lays on special breakfasts.

Hotel L'Host has six rooms in the middle of Pollença. There is no workshop and no wash area; the buildings are old and there is no space for it. Bikes can stand in the lobby, which has CCTV around the clock, or you can keep yours in your room. A locked bike store is planned, but the hotel will not put a date on it until work has started.

Hotel Juma has seven rooms on Plaça Major in Pollença. It opens according to group demand, while its sister hotel L'Host stays open through the winter. Bikes go up to your room. Protur Naisa is in the middle of Palma, a five-minute walk from the port, and it stays open all year — including January and February, when most of the north of the island is shut. Breakfast opens at 07:30 and does not move out of season. Bikes go in the hotel's parking area, guests only, under 24-hour video surveillance, on hangers that take a cable and padlock; it holds about ten. There is a workshop with a bench, tools, a stand and pumps, and a cleaning area with hoses and a pressure washer. Rental comes from outside firms — Rental Bikes Mallorca delivers to the hotel, with Nanobikes and Call&Ride depending on how long you need one. Nothing to take out in the morning, and laundry comes back in about a day. Rooftop pool, indoor heated pool and a spa.
